Privacy Policy — Pharmexo

Last updated: 2026-08-15

Pharmexo (https://pharmexo.io/) respects the privacy of licensed pharmacies and authorised users of our website and mobile application. This Policy explains what data we collect, why we use it, how we share it, how long we keep it, and how to contact us.

1. Who we are and scope of the service

Pharmexo is a business-to-business (B2B) exchange platform for pharmacies in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. It enables pharmacy-to-pharmacy listing and sourcing of pharmaceutical and related trade items, order management, and wallet/settlement features according to platform settings.

The service is not a patient-facing app, does not provide prescriptions or medical advice, and is not intended for end consumers. Intended users are licensed pharmacies (or their authorised representatives) for professional trading purposes.

2. Data controller

Pharmexo operates the platform and determines the purposes and means of processing account and platform-activity data. For privacy requests, contact: privacy@pharmexo.io.

3. Data we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:

  • Account and business identity: name, pharmacy name (Arabic/English where provided), email, phone, city, address, and establishment type.
  • Verification documents: pharmacy licence images/PDFs or other documents required for account review.
  • Branch and permission data: branch information and user permissions where those features are enabled.
  • Trading activity: listings, orders, purchases, sales, on-platform notes, and status history.
  • Payments and settlement: wallet balances, settlement transactions, payout details such as CliQ/IBAN when provided, and commissions under platform rules.
  • Device and notifications: device identifiers and push tokens when notifications are enabled, plus limited technical data needed for operation and security.
  • Support and security logs: support correspondence and security/access logs as reasonably needed to protect accounts and the platform.

We do not require patient or prescription data for ordinary pharmacy-to-pharmacy trading on Pharmexo.

4. How we collect data

  • Directly from you during registration, profile updates, document upload, listing/order activity, or support requests.
  • Automatically through website/app operation (sessions, notifications, necessary technical logs).
  • By operations staff during account review or operational dispute handling within platform permissions.

5. Purposes of processing

  • Create and operate accounts and verify pharmacy eligibility.
  • Enable pharmacy-to-pharmacy trading, order fulfilment, and listing management.
  • Manage wallet/settlement flows and platform commissions.
  • Send operational notifications about orders, offers, wallet events, and account status.
  • Provide support, prevent fraud/abuse, and protect platform security.
  • Comply with applicable Jordanian legal obligations and respond to lawful requests where required.
  • Improve service reliability using aggregated or de-identified operational insights where practicable.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your data for third-party advertising and do not track you across unrelated apps for external ads. We may share limited data only as needed with:

  • Service providers supporting hosting, email, push delivery, or infrastructure under appropriate contractual controls.
  • Payment/settlement parties when processing payouts using details you provide.
  • Other pharmacies on the platform as needed to complete a trade (information visible in the trading flow).
  • Authorities when legally required.

7. Retention

We keep data while accounts remain active and for as long as needed to operate the service, settle commercial obligations, and meet legal requirements. After operating-account deletion, certain financial, licence, or security records may be retained for legally required or rights-protection periods.

Incomplete, rejected, or suspended accounts may be restricted or removed under platform retention settings.

8. Account deletion and your choices

You may request account deletion in the Pharmexo app or website profile. Deletion is typically scheduled after 14 days and may be cancelled during that period unless operational restrictions apply. Deletion will not complete while open orders or pending settlement remain.

Subject to applicable law and account type, you may request access to or correction of your data via account tools or by contacting privacy. We may verify identity before processing sensitive requests.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. No internet transmission is perfectly secure; you are responsible for keeping credentials confidential and not sharing account access.

10. Children and professional use

Pharmexo is intended for professional pharmacy use by authorised representatives. It is not directed to children or personal consumer use.

11. Cross-border processing

Some processing may involve infrastructure providers in other countries as needed to run the service, with appropriate safeguards sought in line with the nature of the service and applicable requirements.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Updates take effect when posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of Pharmexo after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
